An impromptu mentalism effect involving a merely thought card, chosen from aces and figures, and in which, despite the possibility of the spectator lying, the real truth will always be revealed by the Magician.
Truth Bites is a mentalism effect but also a packet trick always ready when needed, where a spectator thinks of a card that could be one of the four aces or any figure in the deck (Jacks, Queens or Kings). She will also secretly choose a role to play: Knight, who will always tell the truth, or rogue who, on the contrary, will lie all the time.
The illusionist, after quickly "Zig Zag" shuffling cards four times will split the deck in half and ask the spectator where she thinks her own card might have gone. Then he lets her verify and confirm its presence or not, depending on her chosen role (if she has chosen to lie, she will deny its possible presence!). In the end, the mentalist will demonstrate that he knows whether she has chosen to lie or be honest, having been able to arrange the cards so that they will soon reveal everything to him.
