What is a Color Match?

A Color Match routine is defined as a perfect coincidence between a drawing colored in by one or more spectators and the mentalist’s prediction. It could be a house, a character, or any simple drawing, usually filled in with 3 or 4 different colors.

The effect:

The mentalist explains they are color blind and have difficulty identifying certain colors. Four spectators are each invited to pick one of four identical markers — all with the same cap color, so they can’t see which color they’re choosing. In other words, the selection is completely blind.

Each spectator then uses their marker to color in part of a drawing on a business card-sized piece of paper.

And of course — you guessed it — at the end of the routine, everything matches the mentalist’s prediction perfectly. The drawings are colored in exactly as predicted.
