In effect, three large silver dollars are shown to have three different dates, examined, and put into three unmarked and regular envelopes by a spectator, who also shuffles them, all while your back is turned.

 To the story of 'Soapy Smith', a legendary con-man, you elicit the spectators help to reveal the locations of the coins, and between you and them, you NAIL ALL THREE DATES!
